Legends of Ancient Cyprus: Kourion & Kolossi Castle

Step back in time to the unique and ancient civilisation of Kourion, once a powerful city-state until a devastating earthquake in 365 AD. Explore the impressive Greco-Roman theatre, later restored to its former glory, and the intricate mosaic floors depicting scenes from ancient life.

Visit the ruins of an early Christian basilica and the Sanctuary of Apollon Hylates, once worshipped by the people of Kourion. The visit continues to Kolossi Castle, a former crusader stronghold built in the 16th century by Grand Master Louis de Magnac.

Visit to Lefkara Village with Loukoumi Tasting

Travel to Lefkara Village, home of world-renowned Cypriot embroidery. “Lefkaritika”, the unique lace originating in the village, has earned its place on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Discover the Museum of Traditional Embroidery and Silversmithing, explore the stone-built streets of the village, visit the 14th-century Holy Cross Church, and enjoy fresh samples of loukoumi at a small local confectionery.
